Control mappings
Each virtue resolves to a handful of controls a practitioner already answers to. This is where the argument is asked to pay its way — and where it admits the places it does not fit.
Direct and partial
- directdirect — the control substantially is the practice the virtue describes.
- partialpartial — the control touches the practice but does not cover it. Most of Jin is partial, because usable security is poorly served by both frameworks and saying so is more useful than pretending otherwise.
35 direct · 8 partial — One reading, not the last word. Check every row against the current standard text linked above before you rely on it.
